OUR TOWN GARDEN

They don't call these blooms 'Winter Roses' for nothing! When the rest of the garden is in its drab, winter dormancy, these angelic lovelies pop their heads up and put on a show.

From my garden today ...

The mid year school holidays have come to a snowy end in our part of the world.

In my garden today, and making me happy: Rosa 'Zéphirine Drouhin' in glorious bloom.

You can be fairly sure that when my blog is quiet that there is stuff going down at home.

Some cheerfulness from my winter garden on what is otherwise a very dull sort of day.

Holidays mean a break for me from the routine of chasing about after kids, and time out to lose myself in my garden, and smell my roses which are always so beautiful across the summer.

My find for this week is a gorgeous song called 'Bloom' (!) by The Paper Kites, an up-and-coming Indie band out of Melbourne.
